Broken Ranger Door
How do you take a door off an 87 ranger that is broken shut? My son in college would appreciate not having to open the passenger-side door through the lowered window to then climb across the seat since both doors are now broken. It is a manual transmission and runs well so we want to fix it.

I feel for people that post for the first at FTE that have truck problems, we have all had our share of problems from time to time.
As far as your problem goes, the linkage on your Ranger may have to be replaced and/or reconnected.
I AM READING IN YOUR POST - That the exterior door handle does not operate the door latch. Correct?
You are going to have to take the door panel off to look at the hardware and see what is damaged or disconneted.
another option is take the truck to an autobody shop or a repair shop and have them make the needed repairs.
