You can make these by taking a color digital image, converting to B&W, and successively make the contrast less and less. Success varies. Some programs have a "line art" conversion utility.

Here are a couple more, They're all a little course but you can play around with them. Trick is to color them in their current size and then shrink them a bit, it'll hide some of the flaws:

Mark here's the 48-50 truck:

If anyone would like to look, photo #11 in my ''construction pics'' was done by photographing my truck, fully assembled and without paint. I made a handful of copies and carried them around for a couple of weeks, sketched on some paint schemes and colored them in with felt tip pens. Kind of crude in this age of technology but I could work on it anywhere, anytime and I think the scheme in this photo is the one I'll use. Just my $.02

Here is a twilight zone moment. I'm overheard explaining to my child why I can't get oem wheel caps (mega expensive) and am browsing ebay for some late model plastic ones (I think that the 2000 8 lug will fit) when the wife pipes in. "That will look lame... don't be such a cheapskate... I want you to get the originals... Just keep looking... we can afford it..."

Has there been some unusual sunspot activity?

I just happen to have a Full set of the '57-'60, FORD Truck Hub Caps you need, P.M. & we'll duscuss it.

guess i'm just lucky
i can visualize things even before the project begins i know what it is gonna look like when finished......... example......... over this winter @ work i dida resto on a 60 pontiac 4 door post for the owner of the place. already had a pic in my head how i wanted it finished, and the accessories i wanted to add, and the colors & color scheme, everyone else @ work was sayin it was such an ugly car horrible color combonation lite met. green with green int. & would never amount to anything, and no on in their right mind would wanna drive it anyways when it was finished.........well it's finished......
BMW light green perlescant paint (close to original but changes color with the light) with a chrysler cool vanilla roof, fender skirts, rear quarter antennas, fender mounted ext. mirrors......... now everyone @ work wantsta borrow it on weekends to go tourin' random people from town have heard about this car and stop in to see it (before it's official unveiling apr 14) ......my vision fulfilled 100% the look and reaction i was goin' for..........of coarse it's much easier n' more fun to fulfill a vision with someone elses chequebook.
