Park assist not working

Park assist not working
My 06 Expy park assist has stopped working since installing a new pioneer avic-d3. Does it need to be hooked to radio to work properly? didn't connect to mute wire on radio harness? No messages on info system either. am i missing something ?

The adapter plug made the install very clean, even was able to integrate the rear dvd and the sub woofer into the system and used a pac steering wheel interface for controls. It actually was a pretty easy install. ( this was my 3rd expedition so i have had some practice)
