Gpr

Does it matter if you mix up the wires on a GPR?
Im changing mine and I have to turn the relay half a turn which will make the wires going to who knows what?
It might be the same but it might not theres no way to tell.

The larger posts are for the GP high current side and the smaller posts are for the small control wires. For sure you do not want to mix wires between the different coils. But I don't know if reversing polarity on either coil would be a problem. I had the same issue with a new GPR I put in so I ended up only using 1 mounting screw so I could spin it 90* so the wires would match up. It's been over a year and it hasn't moved.

Your are correct .. the large terminals are only the relay contact (a switch). The small terminals are the actual solenoid and since it is a DC solenoid swapping those wires around does not matter, although it might drive the next owner of the truck crazzy.

Why is it going to drive the next owner crazy?
I must be still missing something here?

If they use some wire diagram (pic's) that indicates this wire in the front of the solenoid should be B/w (sample only) to troubleshoot furture issues.

I read a thread where the large terminals were crossed becuz the GPR wasn't making contact the original way. Don't know, never done it just read it.
