Man, I used black electrical tape as a stripe on my '71 Demon ! Sure wish i had that car back ! Had it jacked up about a foot in the rear with air shocks too!
LOL, LOL, LOL
You guys are soooooooooo funny! I had a boyfriend about your size Bill. My Willie B. was a sweetheart and you sound an awful lot like him... I have no doubt you could get that vent to move!
John, it's always good to hear about ideas that work. Helps a lot of us to "think outside the box".
I also remember those "good old days"! (and yeah, I miss them)

Man...isnt it funny the things we learn about others and their pasts on here...Fitch...DO drop me an email...seems we got a Mopar in common...it was my first car and I definately wish I had it back...That and my old reliable Ford is all I would need to be content...car/truckwise....
As for the vent R & R...it is a pain at times...but if the rubbers shot, pull/cut the rotten crap out of the bottom part so you can see the lil phillips screw I was talking about...dang I wish I could post pics...I can for some reason...even asked Ken about it and no reply as of yet...

Mopar, huh...
In another thread, you made a joking reference about playing records in your truck.
Did'ja know that in 1956, Mopar was the first to offer a 45 RPM record player...it mounted on the transmission hump.
Ford also offered floor mounted 45 RPM record players on Lincoln's and Mercurys from 1958 thru 1960.
Just try finding any of these players today.
Another neat accessory, in 1959 Mopar was the first (and the last) to offer swivel bucket seats.
Dam your good !! Clear water Revival. Believe it or not I had the first 45 Sonny & Cher recorded. They only had one song so they just talked on side B It was a simpler time back then.

haha. yeah, my first car was a '71 demon that i bought from my grandmother fro $500.00. It had 20,000 mile on it when I got it in '78 . The Devil decals on the fenders embarrassed her when she drove it to church so she scraped the pitchfork off with a butter knife : ) . Mine only had the 225 slant 6 in uit but, it sure looked cool. White with black interior. I had flames painted on the hood and front fenders and of course, aluminium slot wheels, 60's on the back, 70's on the front.
ND...I thought the Mopars had the record player option starting in 58...
As for my Demon...lol...mine was a 50 project..as I recall it had 3 layers of paint on it...and bubbling up due to poor prep...I hated wetsanding that off...and to boot, the minndle body line area was topped by another in an attempt for a tutone.
Mine was a S6 with a 3 on the floor...but was w/o engine and title was a mess...persistence paid off on both...I rememeber beating on the front drums trying to take them off...I tried for an hour or so...then it dawned on me to pop the lil shiny cap in the center off...lol...I all but gutted that sucker and redid everything...all it needed was paint and a headliner and carpet when I sold it...funny thing is...my Dad tried talking me out of it cause it was a S6 car...but I remember it had super nice steering for manual...almost like power!!
As for the flames on the hood...did you ever hear of an ultra rare package called the Demon Sizzler ??? Flames on the hood among other neat things.
If anyone ever finds a decent car with or w/o engine, give a holler...

between the car and my truck when I bought it years later, total outlay was 550. not too bad if ya ask me
2 options...replace the frame as a whole as part of the frame itself is missing at the end ...option B is to replace the portion that the handle shaft is attached to.
Both require removal from the truck, B requires glass removal which is best done by a glass shop.
I believe vent frames are coming down the pipeline of repro parts...
