I've been working on my TDI. It's a diesel so I can include it in this thread.
New turbo, new timing belt, water pump, tensioners, etc.
Clean out the gunk from the intake manifold and disable the EGR.
New MAF and set the adaptation all the way down for the EGR flow and the check engine light stays out.
Cat delete. Now I can hear the turbo whistle. It has a variable vane turbo just like the 6.0 and it spools up NOW.
At idle it just sits there and whistles.
Installed a manual control for the glow plugs, now it starts up right away without a bunch of cranking on the starter. Common TDI problem.
UPS came to my house today. I also ordered a DP Tuner today. And tomorrow I am going to ITP diesel to meet Dennis and pick up a JW VB, AE software and an OBA. My addiction is being fed.
Pics of today's package. Gauges and a 2008 diff cover.

You'll love the gauges....I love my ISSPRO's! I wish I had the 40 psi boost instead of the 60psi though.......sorta overkill, but I bought em off of Storm used....gotta love the good deals ya find on here! The diff cover looks great too Robin!

Travis,
30 psi gauge is probably overkill for me. Time to change diff lube so figured it was also a good time to put on a new cover. How's Roosevelt look? Haven't gotten down there yet. I used to just drive down there for the heck of it but not at today's gas and diesel prices. It must be a 300+ mile round trip for you.

I never made it down to Roosevelt......my Dad was there for the entire MONTH of April. Fishing was terrible! Dunno what happened exactly, but it went cold about 3 days before he got there I am headed up to Lake Powell to look at a possible houseboat purchase soon

Travis,
Thanks for the reply. I left the sight to go watch "Deadliest Catch". A houseboat on Lake Powell, like a dream to me. I could live on that lake year round. Good Luck .
