Thats very true Matt. In mud when the tires are spinning and youre playing around its not all that common to break something. Its when youre spinning tires and suddenly catch a root log or etc and the sudden stop is what breaks chit. Me and Nick both broke our D44s with the rear end bogged down and the front on hard-er ground. I know my tires were pointed straight and Im sure his were too. If you ever turn the tires to full lock and punch the gas you'll break stuff every time.
Thats just for shafts...expect another $400 for ctms and $100 for warn hubs.
Thats what I keep telling everyone but not many seem to listen. Why spend a grand on shafts and joints when you can spend a grand and buy a D60. Granted you will have to put ~$500 in to it for a general rebuild but you wont have the axle breakage problem.
Would you rather spend $1500 now and not worry about it or spend $1000 and constantly chase breakages.
