Hey Buddy,
You spelled "Klew" "klew" wrong (comma)its clue. ROTFLMAO .. it's .. not .. its. It's = it is.
Do you, NumberDummy, Own own any Ford Models? If So so (comma) post Pictures. pictures.
Hey kiddo...how long have you been on the net?
Klew is internetspeak for clue.
I have over 500 models, promos, kits, old and new diecast cars/trucks, stamped steel Buddy L's, Tonka's, Keystones, Nylants, and a few Smith-Miller Macks.
Some of these steel trucks date back to the 1920's.
I don't post roto gravures, carte d'viste, daguerrotypes, tin types or any other images created from anything on the internet.
btw: it's S-P-E-C-I-A-L not s p e a c i a l, the way you spelled it on your former user name.
And...are still using an abridged version of ('speal') now.

Oh Yea!....I have spell check? LOL
Best place to buy original scale models, kits or otherwise = fleabay.
I have spell check, too...but rarely need it.
Back in 1954, I took second place in the Regional Spelling Bee Contest, because I didn't spell PENNSYLVANIA correctly. Since then...I rarely make spelling errors.
Unlike someone, who shall remain nameless, I also know how to parse sentences, and I don't correct ppls spelling on the internet, except in this one case.
Old adage: Ppl that live in glass houses, shouldn't throw stones.
Boy I do, I use it every time now,
I used to type like I talk??
(Redneck/Hillbilly/Backwoods/Country? what ever you want to call it?)
but my flame retardant suit got worn out from the heat of getting Flamed on all the time for not spelling correctly
So now I try to be more Civilized Ya Know?????
It don't help my writing skills any though??

Making a big fracatta deal over my using the 'internet speak' word klew for clue, was ridiculous.
Making a spelling error (its instead of it's) when correcting me, was laughable.
I don't give a rats behind how ppl spell, as long as i t ' s readable.
Great (and amusing) thread. I have some of those dealership vehicles - both the shadowboxed awards and regular demos. In shadowbox, I have '62 gold "chrome" unibody and '64 & '66 silver "chrome" ones - the '66 isn't unibody. Also in shadowbox silver "chrome" are a '63 galaxy 500 2dr, '66 galaxy 500 2dr, '67 galaxy convertible, and '66 fairlane 500 2dr. My regular demo stable has numerous other fords, lincolns, mercurys, pontiacs, chevrolets, oldsmobiles, buicks, dodges, plymouths and even some amc ramblers - all from '60's & '70's. My '66 thunderbird has a built-in radio - really cool, and still works. I got the fomoco vehicles when the dealership changed ownership - the owner and my dad were old golfing buddies. No, absolutely none of them are for sale! Wouldn't think of it - I have far too much time as a little kid invested in their procurement - lets just say I had to mow a lot of car dealership owners' lawns for several summers to get them! lol.
I wonder how many people would have to sign a petition and send to AMT to reproduce different models of the 73-79 series to have consideration.
I have that Bonnie Boss Model and the new King Ranch. The Bonnie Boss just has the plastic off the box, but everything inside is brand new and still in plastic. OF course the Kind Ranch is unopened also. I was going to build the King Ranch almost exactly like my 77F250 restoration, except I need the 77 grill instead of the 79. The Bonnie Boss has the 77 grill, but that would ruin the look of it. So, I guess I'm going to have to look on Ebay to find a 77 grill.

Around 1976, some guy walked up to the parts counter with a large wooden crate..in that crate were dozens of mint Ford promo models in their original boxes. The fellow had gotten them over the years from various dealers, and at autoshows, where they were once given away free for the asking. He wanted 5 bucks each, I gladly paid it.
As he was leaving, he said as an aside, now I'm off to the L/M dealer...too bad there isn't an Edsel dealer anymore.
He never went to the L/M dealer, or any other GM, Chrysler or AMC dealer, either. In his car, were crates full of promos for Lincoln's, Mercury's, Edsel's, and every other manufacturer that offered promo models. I bought 'em all = 5 bucks each. The 1958 Edsel Convertibles alone, were worth over a C note at that time...and when did anyone ever see any 1958-60 Lincoln promos?
A word of caution, early plastic promo models are not made with styrene plastic and tend to warp. The warpage is acute, when left in the sun.
Like I stated before, I talked to an AMT/ERTL about this.
They stated they have no problem making anything we want, they just need an order for at least 5000 units of each kit.
That's what that Model King dealer did , they ordered 5000 1979 F350's
I mentioned a making ONE kit that would cover 73-79 .
The Problem is the cab and box which are the main pieces.

Otherwise It could be made a 4x4 or 4x2
Yes, I guess I forgot you said that. Did they say what the cost would be roughly for the 5000 units of each kit. I'm just curious.
