Wierd, I built that truck several years ago when it was new. And painted it the same color. When I went overseas I sold it to a neighbor. I wonder if that's my truck model... That's a one ton truck btw. Not a 1/2 or 3/4 ton. Longer wheelbase, OK? Oh, and the spare mounts up in the fleetside of the truck between the fleetside and the bed. Too little room behind the rear axle.

Further to this topic,

Please know that back in 2005 I made up a bunch of scale FTE window and front license plate decals for die-cast and plastic models.

Contact me privately if you want some.,

On the AMT Model Box pictured at the bottom in Post #14, it states it is a 1976 Truck.

That kit is obsolete.

Try the online model shops (google Plastic or die-cast models) or e-pay

I have web a page that links to everything but the kitchen sink
and it has links to model shops

What I can't understand with AMT is they didn't mold the pickup box like they did the cab.

You have to assemble the box.
Why not just make it up and allow for a flop down tailgate, ..... ready to lay on the frame ?

Maybe so that when you assemble the kit, you get to have the challenge and the pride of assembley? Also, makes it so that you can modify your kit easily?

Nice looking models, btw. I am really digging that crew cab!
