Turbo 101

For those of us that have always had gassers(yuck) and have never messed with diesel turbos has anyone put together some pictures/diagrams/explanations of what happens with a turbo and help identifying parts and such. In the last few weeks I have seen several posts about MPG and lot of the starting points seems to be around the turbo and things that connect to it(up pipes, down pipes, IC, boots,cold side, hot side, blah blah). I realize this is basic thoughts for some but for if you have never dealt with it then you got to learn somewhere.

Kris-Strokin' it 7.3 when I 1st started here, gave me some links to some turbo tech that I have at home but my DSL is down until at least next tuesday (don't ask ). Maybe he will provide that link for you if he see's this thread.

Yep, i have some pics of a stock turbo i rebuilt into a 1.15 turbo as well.--
