Angry Finally did it!!

Well after 25 years of RVing I forgot to let my antenna down. I just purchased a new 35 ft fifth wheel last week and was moving it from the palce I had it parked to reload to the fixed spot and caught the antenna on the wires going to my in-laws. It did not rip it off the roof as I saw the wires moving and stopped. I think I stripped the gear or maybe just over rode it. After rain stops I will take a look.
I almost cried.

Time to upgrade to a dish!!LOL!

Seriously though I feel for ya. Seems like a great trip can be forgotten by a simple oversight.

Don't feel bad, it happens! I had just bought my brand new Attitude toy hauler and as I was leaving an RV park in Denver I drove to Lincoln Nebraska with mine up. Thankfully it didn't get damaged, but I was buming hard when I realized what I had done!!

If you stripped the gear they are easy to repair & not real expensive. I've done it too.

UPDATE! It just overoad the gear and it broke in half. Picked one up yesterday and repaired in about 10 minutes. Boy was I relieved. Rained pretty good here yesterday and no leaks around the area. Also made a reminder ribbon to hang on the door.

Glad it didn't seem to hurt things too bad.

However, I would recommend making it a habit to check everything out before leaving, I do and I check everything everytime I stop including lights, blinkers, hitch, etc. It is just a good habit I think.

Just my thoughts though.
