Background Story---1996 F-350 156,000 miles, 5 speed, 3.5 level kit, 35"tall tires. Intake, Exhaust, gauges, and Edge programmer (I know edge sucks !!). Issue started last Saturday. Start truck, let idle for 2-3 minutes, take off and 100 yards later it loses power, check engine light comes on, and runs like crap. I shut off, restart, and then drive home fine. Yesterday on the way home it does the same thing. This time it doesn't go away. I limp it home (about 2 miles) and notice the EGT gauge is showing only 150-200. (sensor mounted on drivers side exhaust manifold). I think thats weird but dont think to much about it. I get home and remove the program and put back to stock. I check codes and it says Exhaust Pressure Sensor Fail. Today I replace with new Ford sensor. Didn't help. Now throw code IAT intermittent high voltage. Now I notice that after letting it "run" for 30 seconds, the drivers exhaust manifold is cold to the touch and the passenger side is warm. Now I am totally at a loss of what to look for. Does anyone have any guesses?? Thanks in advance
you probably have an injector harness that has gone bad. Check both valve cover connectors for melted plastic also read this thread to check the harness inside the valve cover https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/6...=1#post5286089
