T5 Crossmember Progress

I have come up with a crossmember design for my 52 T5 conversion, it also ties the old crossmember into it for extra support. You can now stand on the running board support with very little movement, more welding to come. I don't know if the picture will show up very well, having trouble sizing it. It is also in my gallery.

Now that picture looks better, I thought I had that figured out.

I should have my power booster and master cylinder tomorrow, another story, and I will mount that and finish welding, a coat a paint and another 1000 hours on the rest of the truck, should be ready to go.

Interesting idea, to have the "wings" going back and tied to the new crossmember! Should be very stout.

Well it was a good plan while it lasted, I received my power brake booster and bracket this morning and I am in the soup du jour, thats French for modifications are neccessary. I thought I had left enough room and I should have waited untill I had the parts on hand.
