351C Engine number
On the block there is usually a shelf cast under the rear of the right cylinder bank. Look for something like D0AZ-D. It should be one of four codes; D0AZ-D, D0AE-J , G or D2AE-CA. The D is the decade, 1970s, the 0 or 2 is the year, 1970/1972, the third digit is the vehicle assembly line and the last digit shows which division the part was released for.
