t444e vs powerstroke

Is there any difference between the t444e and PSD motors?
Specifically, because the t444e is built for bigger rigs, is it also stronger?
Im thinking, if it is, that it would be better suited for a performance build up. any input appreciated
Dan

The T444E and the PSD are the same exact thing as far as the long block goes. Some have same injectors some don't. Some have the same turbo some don't.

I thought that they had the bigger inje3ctors, and different programming. I remember someone was looking into a set of injectors to put into their powerstroke for the extra UMPH.....wink wink............

Turbo not sure. I have only heard of one person who did the switch. It was expensive, nearly the cost of D66 from Beans but the D66 didn't exist then. I don't know any details of it though.

The injectors are AC's and they are the same as a set of stage 1's, around 160cc per 1000 shots.

yes the AC's will work just fine. Just like with stage 1's you won't get all the power out of them unless you have a ship burned for the injectors but they work just fine.

I know this might be stupid or something where do you find the T444E? Does it come in certain OBS trucks or comes in bigger trucks?

Its found in International trucks of the same vintage. Maybe even a few years prior to 94.5 and I am not sure where International stopped using the T444E.

More expensive. You won't be able to buy a set of AC's for less than you can DIY your current injectors.
