The truck and the driveline aren't the problems. Finding the unique brackets, hinges, window fittings and other woodie bits is where a project like this gets real $pecial. I've thought about doing it with one of my trucks, but have at the moment come back to my senses.

wouldn't mind doing the fabrication work, but fitting those ash finger joints would be a challenge. just thinking outdide the box!

Half way down the page is explained how they're made. The man-hours in the roof alone would make it a lengthy weekends only for 10 years type of project. Jon, sorry for the hijack.

question? every time a new comment is posted on this thread, it gets e-mailed to me. don't get me wrong. I don't mind getting mail and want to chat and learn,it just doesn't seem to be right. is something out of kilter or what? this started after my thread on 3-18 at 2:37. thanks, pete

You actually did it as a '52! I thought I'd get back something smart axxed and unspeakable. Jon on the other hand did get something unspeakable. Looks like a cross between a wall paper woodie Chrysler K car convertible and a Pinto wagon. Yikes.

Now would I do that? I put a lot of effort in making a very presentable looking truck.
