What can I guy expect?

OK, I know a lot of you fellas and gals on here run the 6.0 Intercooler. I was wondering what kind of drop in EGT's you all have experienced. Is this a must for towing? I have a 22' travel trailer around 4800lbs empty and run the DP with 40, 60, 80E, 120 and 140.

I have heard that the 6.0 IC is not worth the effort for what you gain. That is just what I heard. I don't have any EGT problems with my truck for now so I will not comment further.

I saw a max 100 degree drop.

As for weighing a 6.0L I/C vs. say a Spearco, here was my rational: I bought a 6.0L I/C for less than $200. The cheapest I was going to get a Spearco was for $1200. The 6.0L I/C dropped 100 degrees off my EGT's. The Spearco would probably drop a max 200 degrees off my EGT's (maybe less because my mods aren't that wild). So for only 16% of the price, I dropped EGT's by 50% of what a Spearco would. That's a pretty good deal in my book, and makes it well worth it.

I will say this.... the 6.0L I/C is only a good investement if you have stock injectors, maybe Stage I's. Once you start making more serious power, the 6.0L I/C is just too small to cool enough air. So decide what your future mods are, and buy the intercooler that will fit your needs.
