I got a little question... What drives the fuel pump??? I have my 400 apart here. I put the cam in and I got a Comp Cams True Roller Timing set. I put top gear on the cam, and when I put the fuel pump on, the arm never comes into contact with anything?!?!?
Also, is the lower timing gear supposed to be a tight fit on the crankshaft, because I can put it on and remove it easily...

You forgot to put the "eccentric" or cam drive back on. It's a 1 or 2 piece unit that bolts on to the front of the cam gear and contacts the fuel pump arm. It's a very good idea to throw a little assembly lube on it so it has some lubrication at initial start up.

Sounds fine as long as you remembered to put the Woodruff key in before you installed it.
