Hey tim,
Is that IVS the "click" i hear when i push the throttle?
And David, i'd also look at fuel pressure. dont know how to check it, but do a search for FPR and im sure you'll find it. or tim could tell you im sure
Connect a fuel pressure gauge (or a regular air pressure gauge) to the schrader valve (looks like a valve stem) on the fuel pressure regulator (FPR). With the engine running, you should have 40 PSI - 80 PSI. If you're less than 60 PSI, search for "FPR Shim" and don't forget to clean the screen.

Cool, thanks guys will do if it ever stops raining here in Dallas, and will pull the throttle pedal out and clean and lube it, its just so weird how random the issue is, truck will do just fine for a few days then out of the blue screw up, thanks again for everyones help with trying to figure this out.
well guys, i am starting to believe that the new CPS may be the culprit, yesterday truck did just fine no issues even driving through all the rain here in Dallas, today truck did fine till i got up on the freeway and at 70 mph it died, kicked it in neutral and fired back up, didn't have a problem again till I was almost home and it did it again, anyone wanna loan me a can of gas and a match...LOL j/k love my PSD. Just so strange how random this issue is.

Reason: forgot something
Well guess it was bound to happen never got the chance to change the CPS, had left the job site (General Contractor), long story short of all the places for it to die was my turn at the scales at the Dump, and well the SOB died and Hmmmm well that was the last time, it would not restart, so after becoming very popular at the dump blocking traffic, the Waste Management staff help me get it out of the way, even brought a loader over to let me get rid of my trash, and comp`d me my dump fees, waited 2 hours for the wrecker to get it taken to the Ford Dealership, UGHHHHH what a pain in the A$$. will let everyone know what they found wrong with it....TGIF tomorrow. Is it time for a cocktail yet....LOL Thanks again for all the support.
Well everyone, $574.00 later and the truck is a happy camper, it had a chip in it that I did not know about, they had to pull the PCM and reprogram it and the Turbo inlet boot had a split in it, THANK YOU VERY MUCH for everyones help!!!!!
Wouldnt surprise me if they charged you that and replaced the CPS. I hate dealerships, damn crooks. They wanted to charge my buddy 465 bucks for a fuel pump and replacement. I told him what they cost and how long to replace, he got robbed. Never go there unless you HAVE TOO. always check here first.
Oh I totally agree with you on that, Just did not have a choice in the matter, And they tried scare tactics saying that because the turbo intake boot was split that the Turbo was probably dusted, problem for them is that I am no stranger to working on vehicles and my knowledge of them, and YOU GUYS on here are the best.
