I currently have dual exhausts on my 2002 F150 and that's all I have besides stock for the exhaust system. How can I make it louder without getting rid of the duals?
Having the exhaust exit before the rear tires, will make it louder. Im not real sure on how much louder. But it would deff. be noticeable.
I am confused by your exhaust system though. Is it stock up to the muffler then aftermarket duals out the back? If so, you could go with a new muffler.
Yep - Glasspacks! The shortest ones you can find. I have a buddy that had true duals with 8" packs and 90 degree tailpipes behind the rear wheels installed on his 94 F-150 5.0L and believe me.... it's freakin loud!
Also if you still have cats, a good aftermarket high flow cat will make it a little louder. Smaller bodied cats will produce a louder raspier tone, while larger bodied ones will be a little deeper toned. Smaller cats would be good for torque, but would hamper your power, while the larger cats would be good all around for both torque and peak hp, while still keeping the exhaust clean.
