Small Lift

Im looking to give my truck an inexpensive small lift. 1996 f-250 4x4. my springs seem a bit saggy all the way around, my truck sits close to level as it is. my first thought was to get some F-350 rear blocks to give the rear a boost. is this a good idea, or should i go with add a leafs? with blocks or add a leafs is my truck going to go out of whack at all? do i need drop brackets for the sway bar? If i get add a leafs for the front, is it going to mess up my front end, will it have to be adjusted at all? thanks

Any time you change the front end you should get an alignment. Add a leafs are going to be the cheapest and least flexible route. I say least flexible because blocks can add some extra torque to the leaf pack causing them bend in odd ways. Little blocks shouldn't cause a problem on the rear, but i'd stay away from 6"+ blocks. Just stay away from blocks on the front altogether.

Another option for you might be a body lift. They typically don't work with diesels, but a gasser should be fine. You can get 3" of lift for under $300.
