Are you just talking about the plastic mold that is right below the white paint and has a little chrome in it or do you want to have a two tone paintjob like the Lariats?

Both i guess. The two tone, along with the molding. I always thought it was a plastic piece

Either way is pretty easy, we did it with my bosses Excursion to make it look like a limited. The plastic panels are expensive and at the time they were a shiny black. He wanted a tan X with black lower so it worked out beautifully. Just wipe the rockers down with alcohol, peel the backing off the double sided molding tape and apply straight the first time.

You can have the panels painted any color, and a trick to get them on straight is to apply alcohol to the tape. Alcohol on the tape will give you 5-10 seconds before it's permanently stuck.

We got them from Ford. Ask the parts guys to look at the Limited Excursion for the panels.

The Excursions panels won't fit the back doors of a SD.
