that is pretty weird, I've seen a lot of rusty broncos, but I've never seen one rust there.

and I'm like the 3rd or 4th owner, pretty bad huh? thats why it's getin a diesel.

The salty air/water is probably the culprit but Ive never seen one rust there.

because I'm gonna run a International dt360, and the matching tranny out of something like a 4900.theirs not a heck of a lot out there for them as far as swaps (unlike the cummins) so I can cut and beat the body to fit around the engine and tranny and not fill bad about it.

and I was thinkin about runnin stacks up the sides.

So the rest of the bronco would weigh less than the diesel engine, and he wouldn't have to beef up the suspension to handle the added weight of course!

as soon as I can cough up, 3-5k for a parts truck.

or it's just 1500 for the engine alone.

Sounds like a fun project, I'd like to put a 4bt/6bt in my bronco, but it sure is a lot of extra weight..

the 4bt is about the same as a bbf. (mid 700lbs range the 6bt is about 1500 roughly ) I was thinking about the 6bt but there like the sbc of the diesel world. everybody and there brother gots one.
