I bought a 95 F-250 with a 7.3 diesel in it last week. I finally picked it up today. I knew going into the deal that the truck had no reverse. Well, it turns out that it only has first gear. Needless to say, it took some time to get it home.
I've been looking and I'd like to know what are the simple things to check and how do I do it? I'll probably start with a tranny refill. Does anyone know how to check the transmission lever position sensor (or whatever it's called)?
I'm used to small imports and this is the first truck I've had - I'm really swimming here. Thanks!
