Funny? don't know about that. I'm thinking smart. I had to move mine to the tool box to make room for my spare CPS, ICP, extra orings for drain valve and the tools to change. I'm sure there are other things in there as well, just don't remember now.

Yeah, I knew that was what you meant. It is a good idea to carry original parts anytime you install aftermarket replacement.

The HPX I got from Diesel Innovations came with caps to seal each boss in case the hose or hose fittings sprang a leak. They caps would be a lot easier to put on than removing the bosses and installing the original plugs. I carry those as well as the original plugs. You can never be to safe.

Nope. $65 at this link for the hard SST line and I think the braided hose is like 40 bucks from DieselSite. The hose must be replaced yearly while the hard SST line lasts forever. Installation is super easy.

Btween 45 and 65 dollars depending on who you order it from and whether it is a flexible hose or rigid stainless steel tubing. I doubt the flexible hose has to be replaced yearly. The one I have is better than the stock HPOP lines and I haven't replaced either of those.

Izzy, did you put in your cck or did you have a local mechanic do this. I live in the DFW area, and would like to find a mechanic that can do this mod for me. I have a pretty good mechanic I think, although he is not up to date on the Powerstroke diesel mods. When I approached him about this mod, he looked at it and said he could do it, but would have to pull the cab off the chasis. Thats a deal killer for me, and have read of no one else having to do that! Thanks, Larry

uummm, I'd fire him if he wanted to pull the cab for that. It's a pretty easy job, just tough to do climbing around up there. Maybe that's why he wanted to pull the cab -- too chicken to crawl around up over the engine. I would think someone that works on these professionally would have some kind of platform to work from. I did it myself, but definitely recommend Tylenol & Ibuprofen (at least!!) for the day after...
