I don't know about the 2" part but yes it can be lifted some, one of the techs I worked with did this on more than one truck. Made the truck look more level since the back apeared to be sitting higher than the front.

Yes you can lift the truck about 1.5" or so and it will level out the truck. It puts more strain on all the front suspension parts since you're turning up the preload on the suspension to get your truck higher. It won't damage anything, just causes stuff like balljoints to go out quicker.

the adjustement is used to level out the truck. in order to do that, it does allow you to lift about 1.5 inches or so. this is not enough to effect the CV joints or front end components. Lifting the truck does not put more load on the bearings or bushings, but it does make them operate at a slightly higher angle.

how would you go by doing this lift??

also forgot to mention, i do have a rcd 6 in lift with an add a leaf on the back, the extra leaf spring makes the back of the truck about 2 inches higher than the front, that is why i am asking the question

now thats what puts the front end under heavy stresses. if you do a body lift, the alxe sets the same, if you crank up the sprigs the angle of the drive shaft and alxe shaft changes and can cuae overloading... that being said, the torsion bars go from the a-frame to under the seat area. there is a jack screw on the back , under the seat areas pointing upward. crank the screw inward to push the cam higher.
