97 4x4 trouble codes

I have a 97 F150 4x4 Mark III 4.6L. My check engine light is always on. Every time I have the codes read, it comes up as EGR flow insuffecient and bank one mixture lean. However, the truck runs like its brand new. No studder or hesitation ever(except this weekend when the altenator took a dive). Anyone have any clue what could cause these code???

Those are not codes, they are descriptions.

FWIW, they're frequently discussed issues and many, many relevant previous discussions are online here.

Just plug the fault code into the SEARCH engine to find them.

I get 3 codes now being as my truck started to miss heavily yesterday these are the trouble codes that i get.
P0171
P0300
P0401

Ok I had the coil packs stress tested and they checked out fine. My mechanic wants to do a compression test and fuel pressure test. Any other ideas???
