Spare Tire mount

My 88 F-250 has a factory in bed spare tire mount on the front of the
passengers side, but I need the bar that slides down in the mount and goes through the wheel.
The dealership is worthless and LMC and Dennis Carpenter reproductions
don't have one either.
I would pay good money for one.........any out there ??

you dont have a scrap yard close by? like a pick-n-pull or something? if you are incredibly desperate i could ship you one from the pick-n-pull around here...

I really want to get on and there seems to 2 different kind for our truck.
I will attach a picture of mine on my gallery, so maybe you can tell which bar is needed.

I just used all thread or a large carriage bolt and a chunk of scrap flat steel drilled to fit .Take your time when making it and who will know difference. made one for my last truck Under $2.00

Well I finally got to hit some Salvage yards this past week and found several
under hood parts I had been looking for including the bracket for my relay switches.

No luck on the spare tire rod though !!
