F450 Spare

Does anyone know how much clearance is around the spare tire in the F450?

Since I am getting aftermarket tires I need to mount a proper spare tire. I need 35 inches by 12 inches.

Good luck to you, bro, don't see width (12 inches I'm assuming) being a problem but the HSR tires inflated are only 31.9" in diameter, and I think the spare has stuff around it, could be wrong thought and you could be completely fine, but this is what I pulled off of continental's website
HSR- 19.5"

That's an interesting question, I wonder if that area of a 450 or 350 dually is different than the SRW trucks. If it's the same, I would think it's large enough to house a 34in tire considering that is the overall diam of the 20in wheels that are avail on SRW trucks.

I guess it's possible that they design that area under the bed differently from SRW to DRW.

I am wondering that myself. I may have to wait and measure when trucks are on the lot.

If you aren't going to include the spare in your rotation schedule, why worry about it? I would expect flats are rather rare in those tires.

Dual wheels. Only way is to put spare on front then move front to rear in event of a rear wheel flat.

Question still stands. Sure, it's a little more work, but in the rare occurrence that you actually have a flat, is it that big of a deal?

If you get a flat with duals, can't you just run with only 3 wheels in the back for a short time?
