Never being able to fit inside the intake manifold and watch with my own eyes what happens.... I can only presume.
I know I have the same problem with mine of I don't start it everyday.. after 2 days .. I know it won't start no matter how much I pump the accelerator.
Once it has been run, It will start with barely a click of the starter.
All my vehicle start like that when they are used every day.
I also have an inline filter before the fuel pump but I don't think that cause any problems.
So, from what I've been hearing, the heat from the engine is evaporating the fuel out of the float bowl in the Carb. The only problem with this theory is that it will start just fine throught the day, no matter how often I drive it. It's only doing it in the morning, after I have it off over 8 hrs. I'm thinking of pulling it into the garage to have a check. I'll post more information when I get some info. Thanks for all your help guys.
also bear in mind your oil pressure is not controled by the amount of oil in the pan, you could put fifteen quarts in it and still have the same oil pressure.
I was just wondering what oil pressure is recomended for this motor. After seeing those performance 390's pushing 80 psi I thought that maybe 40 was bad.
