I am going to drain the tranny fluid and was wondering what line to disconnect so I can start the truck to pump the fluid out.
the way i want to do it drop the pan, clean the magnet and put a new filter in. put the pan back on and add 5qrts of new fluid. then I would like to disconnect a line and pump the rest out and then refill.
Can you disconnect the line into the radiator. I think there are two, one on the top and one on the bottom of the radiator. which one should I use? The top or the bottom?
not sure which trans you got, but the 4r70 prior to 2001 had a plug in the bottom of the torque converter. i drained 8 quarts out of that, and 5 more out of the trans pan. no lines to remove.
