Tips on pumping fuel

Just got this in an email and thought I'd share.

Intresting ideas here but gasoline is gasoline. A citgo tanker fills up right next to a sunoco tanker from the same tanks in the tank farm. The Only difference is the additive added to the gas at the loading rack, about 7 gal for 8800 gall tanker. I know I used to drive a gas tanker.

The big companys rent space in the tank farm based on fuel metered into the tankers.
So if say 100,000 gal is sold this month to citgo they are responsible for replenishing that fuel to the tank farm collective.

This is why most tank farms have less than 10-12 tanks. Two to three for regular, 1-2 for super, 1-2 diesel, 1-2 heating oil, kero, jet-A fuel. Not one for each brand they sell.
