MC was replaced. He said he bled them in the proper order (I wasn't there). He did say that air may have gotten into the HCU. I figured he didn't plug the brakeline right away and without the tool, he can't fix that. ABS light is on and stays one.
Unfortunately (or fotunately), I have a full time day and part time night and weekend job and the only time I can do anything is on Sunday. And today (Easter) also is tax day in this household. I won't have time to do them after today for the next few weeks and Uncle Sam likes his forms on time.
I am going to get this to the local Ford dealership to look at.
How's this for a kick in the butt. My buddy's buddy who knows all about brakes, put the left front calipher in the right and the right on the left. Apparently, there is a valve that allows the brake fluid to bleed? Thus the mushy brakes.
Ford dealer fixed what he fixed. And the rear ABS sensor was bad. Part was $34 but he added "testing" which added another $150. All told, parts from my "friend" and Ford, it ran me $975 (still less than the original $1150 the other guy wanted).
But now, when I put on e-brake, no light comes on but when I release it the light does come on. When "friend" fixed it, he must have done something there too. Dealer says maybe relay switch is in wrong. I tested it on a hill. Brake on, no light, in neutral and the vehicle didn't roll. Brake off, light on, neutral and downhill it went. Go figure.
