Could you tell us about your filter and what you found? It is nice to know the conditions of the problem so we know in future questions what might make the same symptoms. (Or something like that....)

Glad you found the problem and it was an easy fix.

The air filter was cloged i know i said it was good ...well so i thought any how i replaced it like two mouths ago, but i guess this winter been hard on it...it was cloged with sand i was really shocked when this was my prob...I'm glad it was a simple cure...the way it acted i thought 4 sure i had way bigger prob ...just goes to show me that it something i have to pay more attention to in winter.. thx for all the great ideas

Thanks for the reply. I agree with you that 2 months isn't much time to have a filter get clogged. Was it a stock filter?

yes it was a fram with the foam on the bottom....

well I sure am happy i found FTE, or i wouldn't have all the easy quick fixes ...or the help you guys give me.... I've already learned alot, there is no limit when ur tinkering away at ur truck on saturday afternoon with a beer in ur hand

You know, being a Supporter isn't a bad idea. If you do the 3 year, you get a T shirt and a Bumper sticker. Think about how much money this site just saved you. $90 an hour is the going rate around my neck of the woods for a mechanic to look at things.
