I own an 2002 f 350 diesel and have been encourntering stalling problems. I will be driving at various speeds when this happens all of a sudden I lose all power and have to wait a few minutes to restart. I have had it in the shop three times and they cannot find the problem any info would be appreciated Jlynch1001(No Email Addresses In Posts!)
If it has never been replaced, just call any Ford Dealer and make an appointment to get the sensor replace with the lastest updated one.. no charge.. Have your Vin # handy..
And Welcome to the forum..!
What other symptoms do you get when it stalls? Does the engine run rough, or is it like someone just turned the key off? Do you get any dash warning lights when it stalls? Do the dash lights function normally when it won't restart?
I recently had the cam sensor changed on my 01 f250 and it did nothing to stop the stalling problem that I already had... My truck seems to want to stall out when stopping at redlights or stop signs, but it won't stall out completely it just surges, bottom line is that the cam sensor did not fix the problem and probably wont fix it with you truck either, but if anyone does know how to stop this pleas post...
