Now that I have a bigger all be it close to stock turbo and a new HPOP installed I am turing my attention to fuel... I cant afford anytime soon AC injectors like I want... As the tranny will need a rebuild before that.
I am planing on a Reg Return from ITP, AirDog and large pickup and mixer delete. That said... I am considering replacing my long lead #8 injectot with a stock AD injector to get a better bal engine.
(Current setup)
TURBO: GP-388 turbo, WW, EBPV del., Blank pedistal, 1.0 waste-gated turbin housing, big head actuator.
Oil: New (Stock) HPOP replace.
Air filter and large exhuat, pyro gage, ccv, DP tune, few other things.
I have been told the going to a stock AD to match the rest of the injectors is a big imporovemt if they are all in good shape and ACs are fair off.
It's up to you if you want to swap out the LL for a standard AD. I left my LL in for a while after the regulated fuel return install. The LL was a bit weak though, and I felt it miss (and it showed up on AE). I ended up swapping it for a stock AD for free from another forum member who had a set laying around at the time.
Not to hijack this thread but were can I get some instructions on EBPV delete ?
I have no clue where the instructions are. I just bought a new pedistal and delete plate and swapped it out myself. It wasn't that hard. The only trouble I ran into was I stripped out the star fitting on one of the housing bolts. That was a PITA to get off.
Just curious, I'm rebuilding my turbo now, compessor wheel and exaust wheel are out getting balanced now, thought it would be a good time. Any benefits other than eliminating the restriction a little ?
I would be very interested in hearing from anyone that has the Reg return or CC kit and has replaced the LL injector with Ad. I am considering replacing LL and would like to hear of real life experiences.
