Is there good place on the internet to find a diagram showing the routing of the vaccum lines for this truck, there is a few ports that are plugged off, allthough it ran fine that way before.
I took my truck to a local parts storeThey plugged a code scanning tool in to it, the following came up code#172, code#332, code#565. The only thing I was unsure about during the testing was that the scanner prompted the user to push the accellarator fully to the floor and release it, and even though it didn't ay to shut off the engine first the guy had me shut the engine off because he was afraid a person could blow the motor up by doing this with the engine running, I did buy and install an egr valve positioning sensor it didn't cure the problem, but the truck sure runs alot stronger, a noticeable gain in power. They said in the book that 332 means the positioning sensor isn't working, I went to the ford efi page had alot of good info, any other ideas?

Can only speak for 172. I had this code, changed O2 sensor, code never came back

Ignore the 172 for now, the 332 is EGR motion not detected and 565 is canister purge circuit failure. Both these point to vacuum problems. It's telling you there is no activity on these circuits because the motion sensors or actuators are not moving.. possibly from broken vacuum lines. If you can find and fix the vacuum problems, disconnect the battery for 15min to clear the codes and then drive it to see if they come back.
No abnormal running conditions that I could notice....aside from the CEL coming on about 15 minutes after every start up. I know it still had the original sensor up and till last year.

You should have a vac. diag. underneath the hood of your truck
One thing that was recently brought to my attention, happened before the problems started is that when my wife was driving it she parked the front tire against a big rock pulling the horse trailer, she thought the power dteering was out, and before I got there she said a guy came along and helped thoght he found the problem, and pulled a hose from under the hood. I just found it in the toolbox, it looks like one end plugs into a rubber hose coming from the driver side valve cover near the filler cap, the other end I can't find aplace for, it looks like it should go through a grommet, any Ideas?
Hey, thank's to all of You for the help, I got a chance to loook everything over real well, I plugged the hose back into the air filter, and found a break in na vaccum line coming from the pcv valve on the valve cover to a 3 outlet fitting on the intake manifold in front of the throttle body, fixed that, truck runs alot atronger and idles better, still a little rough though, probably take it back in and have it read again.
Thank You!
