Steve, you may not ever have any probs with the cheap rotors. However, just passing on my experience with Chinese rotors. There are differences in the way steel can be made and cured. I trust American made. My father was a steel melter. Jim
my old 00 f150 got rotors at 90k, my 03 got them at 70k, 140bucks at auto value i got upper end pads and upper end rotors, i think it all depends on driving style... i drive aggressively
Why are not ceramics not recommended for towing? Thats what brembo says on the rotor box. It could be the issue Ive been having from day 1. I dont tow however!
Ceramic is a very hard material that can with stand a lot of heat. Do you want a hard material on a rotor or a soft material that's easier on a rotor? I'll buy pads over rotors to get what I want. Pads were $185 rotors are $386. Do the math.
omg those are some spendy rotors, i paid like 140-160 for everything and they work awesome and i even tow a fair share of weight frequently.. 10,000miles and counting
CHEAP Brembo fronts and EBC rears. If it's good and cheap it's been stolen. I wanted to go big rotor front but new wheels/tires to clear is $2800 total. Substitute a full Brembo big brake kit and it goes up about $2600. My nephews wife gets Brembo on a discount. Maybe free bbsitting for a deal on parts? I think a decal comes with the kit'Stay back 500 ft.'.
