I was wondered why you asked, because mine had a musty smell from the vents. To correct this I sprayed lysol into the intake of the air vents. Turn the fan on high, recirculating setting and spray lysol into the intake to kill musty oders and smells. Lysol seems to kill these germs off well. The intake is inside the cabin on the passenger side near the firewall. Remove the plastic cover under the dash and you will see an opening where the air is sucked in during recirculating.

Don't turn "off" the climate system when not in use so the dampers stay open and allow air flow while parked.

I thought we have a cabin filter in the rear. When you open the barn doors and then raise the glass portion,
there's some type of filter on top hidden by the glass when closed? Or am I confused about what it is?

I believe it's just a vent. The rear heater/AC draws in air from the slotted cover over the spare tire jack. Would be nice to stick some foam filter material behind that cover though. . . . same for the cabin air. Help keep the dust out. Anyone got some ideas ?!

I know guys have made cabin air filters out of furnace filters. I read about it years ago over at thedeiselstop.com

Maybe a search there or here would turn up something.

That vent in the rear I believe is a vent to circulate air in the roofline.

That's the "SlipStream" option. Not widely known. Sorta like a towing package. Anyway, it lets air flow through the truck at the roofline to lower drag and aid fuel economy. This combined with 5W20 oil is supposed to increase fuel economy. Is it April yet???????
