Now that I have a manual gauge hooked up I can now tell what this hunk-a-junk is doing. What is the normal PSI the 351M is supposed to be at for the oil pressure? When mine idles at 500rpm it shows between 35-40psi. When I run it up to 1000rpm it jumps to 60psi. The oil pressure flucuates (however you spell it) with the engine speed. Is this normal? If not what could be causing it? I know she uses oil bad. Hell...I'm running 20W 50 right now. Any ideas?

Well it won't get so high that the pressure can hurt the bearings. That's almost a myth. Takes a high pressure pump and a very close tolerance rebuild.
When hot and idling: the pressure I want is at least 3 pounds and it should quickly rise with the engine speed. Minimum of 10 poounds at 1000 to 1200 RPM; 15 pounds at 2500 RPM; and 20 pounds at 4000 rpm.
The shop manuals may give some other values but I never notice them. When it falls below any of those numbers I start thinking rebuild.
