Skill Ratchet

Would recommend a skill electric ratchet? I just bought one last month at homedopot for 20 bucks, reg price is 60.
If any one has used one, do they last long?
( I have not used it that much) But I plan to use soon when I going to change a heater core in 1991 Ford Escort

I've seen those and thought about it a bit. I have an air ratchet, so can't really justify the expense, but can't imagine it being a bad tool. I have had a lot of times when I either wished my compressor was on to run my air ratchet, or that my air ratchet didn't have a hose to get in the way. Not to mention the noise-

Im looking at geting one but 50 bucks is too much, I think it will be good on small jobs but air is the way to go on big ones. I Have 1/4,3/8 and 1/2 Air ratchets

They use batteries that do not develop a "memory", so the batteries should last a long
time. 1/4" power ratchets are great for hose clamps, long bolts, dashboard fasteners
and other jobs you can't get your fingers on to fasten and unfasten. Try to bust em
loose before using it.

This is one of the handiest tools in my shop. I have air in my shop but with this tool I don't have to run a mile of hose or carry an air tank when I need a ratchet.

Now for the bad news. I have had 4 of these ratchets since December 2007. I don't use it hard or improperly. Lithium Ion cell's require a very controlled voltage and current while charging or they can present a fire problem. Dell had a recall on Laptop lithium Ion batteries. Some of them caught on fire. I took the last one apart before I returned it and found a burned out thermistor and transistor regulator on the circuit board. I talked to Skill tech support and they suggested that I return it and try getting another one from a different supplier as they may have gotten a bad batch. The first three I purchased at Lowes and the latest one I got from Wal-Mart. If the one that I have now lasts more than a few months I will post again.

Thanks
