Nah keep the tube running into the core support/grill and do a little trimming on it as well as yank the fiber rubber thing in front of it that's how mine is setup.....don't bother buying a CAI build your own...alot more cost effective...check out my gallery......LMD's link is the correct spacer for your intake ...the one you showed on ebay was for a GT40 (lightning) intake.......I agree with elmo's post the only things I'd change would be ditch the MSD Box and the autolite plugs....I use NGK V-powers and i noticed a difference when I switched from autolites...plus IIRC they're a tad cheaper too.........Don't rule out gearing either......if you lower your gears (numerically higher) you'll get a little better oopmh.........The stuff I've done on my truck is good for 290 HP at 340 FT/LBS of torque......Luck

Your intake setup is what I was planning on doing. Getting the 2into1 splitter pipe so I can have 1 intake tube running to the airbox that Ill relocate to the driver side fender and have the tube from the grill go to the airbox thats now on the fender wall. That way it will be cooler then having the airbox over the motor. Never was planning on BUYING an intake 1st because they dont make one for 86s and 2nd becasue it would cost ALOT less to do my own. Plus I like doing things like that. I was thinking about upgrading my 3.55s to 3.73s or 4.10s but I think the 3.55s will work for now. I would really like a LSD though. I hate 1 wheel wonders....
I think ill hold off on the 1.7 rockers for alittle while and just get the LT headers and plug wires, cap rotor, and plugs. Then when I get some money thats burning a hole in my wallet ill go for the 1.7 rockers. Probably selling the nitrous soon so I will most likely get the rockers after it sells.
Anything else I should get before I order? Anything I should change?
I was just told my Grandparents are giving me alot of money for my birthday soo I might go mod crazy For some reason my mom thinks I should save it and get a newer truck down the road.... She thinks just because my truck is 22 years old its a POS..
Yea, order another set of headers and have em sent to me lol......try www.livewires.com and see if anything on there strikes your fancy...I swa a kit I've BEEN wanting.....You can probly find those plugs cheaper at the parts store...I got the same ones and they were a dollar somethin....just a thought....oh don't forget header flanges with METAL flange gaskets.....Luck

Is that the right link? looks like a phone company site or something.
Nah I've got Lightning shorties...is your truck 4wd?I'm pretty sure that's the right link I'll search on it.....The LT's oughta fit ok......ehhhh I'd go for the copper GASKETS.....those weren't what I was talkin about.......these are the ones I was talkin bout http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku
your headers should clear.......I know on the 90's you have to saxzall a notch into the passenger side of the top part of the framerail.....not much just half an inch at the deepest point.......but other than that...should be good.
Looks good to me, should fit without much issue at all.
The only think I had to do to put the Flowtechs on my '90 was cut off a small protrusion on the passenger side frame rail near the firewall... it was sticking out a little too much and hitting the header and all I did was cut it flush with the rest of the frame.
