1970 F-250 Diff
Hey all,
Does any one know what the type 38 differential is in a '70 F-250, 360 V-8 with the type ZG auto tranny? The VIN decoder does not include this information. There is one for sale that a friend is looking at.

Are you sure, Ken? I never heard of a '38" differential, am I missing something?
F250's came with both Dana 44's and Dana 60's.
I never heard of a ZG (??) trans either.
The trans code on the Warranty Plate is a G which is a C6 when an FE engine is present on 1968/76's.

The Dana 60 fits the 38 code in my book, 3.73.

Nevermind...stupid me...I thought he meant the
front differential when he called it a type 38.
It didn't dawn on me that 38 was the AXLE code....SHEESH...
