wierd noise

at start up it makes a weird type of noise every time lately. it almost sounds like a radiator fan hittin the shroud, but with the hood open it sounds its comin from near the back of the motor. i have a sound clip, how do u put that in a post?

like a knockin noise, as if a stick or radiator shroud was hiting the radiator fan, lasting a second or 2 starting within a second or 2 after starting the truck.

I would remove the inspection cover at the trans and look for rust bleed at the flex plate to torque converter studs. If they are loose you will either find metal shavings or rust dust.
