Manual vs. E4OD vs. C-6
1. Get an A/T with a stock E4OD tranny
2. Get a stock M/T 5-speed rig.
3. Get the stock M/T(the choice I'm facing) and swap into a C-6 in (I would need A/T for traffic jams, yet the E4OD has had a lot of reliability issues in this country, given road conditions, etc.)
On the other hand, which is better: touch'n drive 4x4 or stick 4x4?
Thank you in advance! (in Colombia 95% of Broncos came stock with the 302 and 3.08 gears, 60% were M/T and 40% A/T w/E4OD).
I've got electric t-case on my Bronco and it has been pretty reliable, but I would like to change to a manual just to be sure.

I have the manual t-case and love it. A quick tug on the lever and I have 4x4 - no worries, waiting or wondering. The dash 4x4 light is just a reminder rather than the answer to a prayer :-). As for the tranny my '95 has an E4OD that I'm happy with but would rather have gotten a manual if I could find one. Not all E4OD's are the same - 95 & 96 (94 too?) had the best parts and a rebuild could have whatever you want.
