No I didn't clear it though that would help keep it up, I wasn't clearing stuff when I did that so I just polished it once a year after that and kept the wax to it, stayed up really well, still looks good in the my basement and it's been 10 years since I did it. May use it for wall art, that should really make the wife happy.

This is the only pics I can find of the grill after I polished it that shows how well it came out, it has a better shine than the new one I have and may decide to use it and save the new one.
