1997 turbo

I have a 1997 f-350 with a 7.3 turbo, New exaust on truck. I have a badly leaking turbo and found and bought a re-conditioned turbo with pedestal. What if any problems will I have changing the turbo out? The exaust clamp is new so this will not be a problem, anything else to look out for? Thanks

Back bolt on the pesdistal mount will likely cause the most harm. Make sure to change the pesdistal o-rings as well.

The one bolt on the back of the pedestal was kind of a pain but just make sure you use a 1/4 inch drive set up and you will be ok 3/8 wont get in there. I had a real hard time with one bolt where the exhaust bolts to the turbo. When you put that sucker on clean the threads well so you can spin it on with your fingers as much as you can because after that you can only tighten a few degrees at a time till its tight. And make sure you SOAK all bolts with PB blaster and let it sit over night. Good luck
