It will run 55w lights without issue, but it's always better to power aftermarket lights through a relay and use the factory wiring as a trigger.

anywhere you want it... but i suggest inside the cab somewhere... and you would tap into one of your backup light wires to get power to the relay and then run a hot to it... one that is hott just with the key on.. (that is my preference) it can be hot at all times... and then run another wire to your lights... which should only be hot when your relay gets the hot from your factory backup lights... reps plz??? i never get them...

i bought a tractor light from tsc and mounted it under the rear bumper. when you take the light housing out then there will be two wires bot black one with a red stripe on it. splice the power wire for the light into that and then ground the light on its mounting braket. this way the light only comes on when your in reverse. its great. i love it. kinda makes it like daylight in the dark.

yes its on the bottom back up light. i just spliced the wires together from a tractor light and taped them up. the light only comes on when your in reverse. i haven't had any problems with the way i did it. just make sure you use a knife to take the insulation off of the wire after you cut it because there's not much there. unless you go under the truck but then it is exposed to weather.

basic relay wiring: http://ovo.ca/wiring/fig1.gif

In your case instead of the switched wire you would use the back up light wire to power the relay.

If/When I build my tailgate I wanna put one of theses on it. Wire the clear ones on a switch as backup/trailer hooking lights, and the colored ones (red) as clearance lights
