well yes, you need the weiand spacer plates and if you go with the 4v model, you will need 4v heads. the have a 4 barrel version that fits the 2v heads that came on the 351m/400, but you may need the plates either way.

If the heads are the stock 2v heads, why would you want to? Are you asking because you found a 351C Torker and are wondering if it will fit? As the other poster mentioned, you can certainly make it fit by using spacers and swapping heads, but then you would have lower port velocity (with the 4v heads) and would lose low-end torque. The 4v heads would be good for racing, but 2v heads are the ticket for the street. The Torker is a single plane intake, and as such it is designed for higher RPM use than the typical Stealth and Performer dual plane intakes.

If you want to race, then by all means go with 4v heads, spacers, and a single plane intake. But hardly anyone races the 351M - parts are harder to find, and the 351C and even the 400 are better choices.

If on the other hand you will run street, then you will want to stick with the 2v heads (perhaps installing the larger valves from the 4v) and going with a dual-plane intake. Match it up with a 600 CFM carb and you'll have a nice setup.

The spacer plates are designed for 2V heads so you'd need to port them significantly to make them work on 4V heads.

well the engine im building is strictly race it is in a mudbog truck and im using a set of stock heads that i had ported and polished. and im not worried about low rpm range since im running the motor between 3500-7000 rpm.
