Remove and replace exhaust manifold studs?

In general, if having problem removing a stud usually let the stud/manifold set in penetrating oil for few hours. Thread 1 nut onto the stud as close to manifold and still have room to manuver. Then thread another nut and cinch the 2 against each other. I will put the thickest nut I can find, may require couple wrenches, or combination of ratchet/wrench and need the room for both. Then while holding the one, I use the other wrench and try and back out the stud, take small increments; loosen, tighten, etc. Another option may be an air ratchet where the torque would be directed from the center, seems may be less incline to snap than with side torque of wrench or ratchet, only not sure air ratchet would provide enough torque to loosen a seized stud. Being the impatient type, I would probably use an impact gun set on medium, certainly would have the torque but risky may end up damaging the manifold, perhaps best to take it slow and easy. Anyhow, food for thought!!.
